No single portable device can guarantee that a motorcycle will not be stolen. A better approach is to make the bike harder, noisier and riskier to move by combining several security layers.
Start with a visible physical lock
A disc-brake lock provides an obvious physical obstacle. An alarm-equipped version can add noise if the motorcycle is disturbed.
Add location tracking
A compatible GPS tracker can add a recovery layer if the motorcycle is moved. Check cellular coverage, subscription requirements and installation needs before choosing a tracker.
Use smart parking
Park in visible, well-lit areas when possible. At home, use a garage or other secured location when available.
Do not forget the key
Some disc locks use reminder cables or other visual cues. Develop a routine so a lock is removed before riding.
